Staffed by a 394-strong team of local GP's, Nurses and Social Workers, all our Health Professionals are local and commited to delivering a high quality, safe and cost effective service.
The Vocare Group maintains an existing portfolio of services for the NHS and Local Authorities which includes GP out-of-hours services for 1.5 million patients including: Seven Urgent Care Centres and an operations centre based in Newcastle, six Urgent Care Centres and an operations centre based in Teesside, out-of-hours Social Services covering a population of 205,000, two GP led Walk-in Centres with registered patient lists, a GP Practice and a successful deputising doctor and locum agency.
We value our relationships and we work in close partnership with Hospitals, Local Authorities, GP Practices, the Ambulance Service, Dentists and Commissioners in order that we can provide joined up and integrated services. We see ourselves as part of the solution in providing clinically-led services and 24/7 urgent care, as well as leadership around care policy development and service regulation.
About us
Our origins are shared with Northern Doctors Urgent Care (NDUC) which was originally a cooperative established in 1996 in Northumberland in order to allow GPs to manage on-call collectively.
